North Carolina: A deputy was hospitalized early Sunday morning after crashing during a high-speed chase with a driver speeding on the highway.

According to the Wake County Sheriff’s Office, the deputy spotted a car traveling at a high speed around 3 a.m. on I-40 East, prompting an attempt to conduct a traffic stop — however the driver did not stop.

The deputy’s office said the pursuit lasted until the intersection of I-40 East and N.C. 540, where the deputy’s car crashed off the road and the suspect kept going.

The deputy sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

I am happy to announce that Edan Alexander, an American citizen who has been held hostage since October 2023, is coming home to his family. I am grateful to all those involved in making this monumental news happen. This was a step taken in good faith towards the United States and the efforts of the mediators — Qatar and Egypt — to put an end to this very brutal war and return ALL living hostages and remains to their loved ones. Hopefully this is the first of those final steps necessary to end this brutal conflict. I look very much forward to that day of celebration!

One person was taken into custody, and a police officer was injured after a fight broke out in Pittsburgh's South Side neighborhood Sunday morning.

When officials arrived on the scene, officers observed a large crowd of people acting "disorderly inside and outside of a restaurant," PPS said.

After multiple verbal warnings from police, one man refused to leave the area and became disruptive towards officials. When officers attempted to arrest the man, the post said, he resisted.

During the arrest, one officer was said to have sustained a minor injury to his cheek and was evaluated on the scene.

San Diego: Officer Involved Crash 5/11/2025

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. One of the drivers ran the “red” light. An SDPD officer was driving southbound on 43rd St, and the driver of the Toyota was driving westbound on Orange Ave.

The male and female in the Toyota had to be extricated from the wreckage.

The civilians and the officer were all transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

TEXAS: WRONG WAY DRIVER EJECTED, KILLED IN CRASH WHILE ATTEMPTING TO FLEE FROM MANSFIELD PD.

Mansfield police say the driver of a stolen vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle while traveling the wrong direction on Highway 287 and attempting to evade officers.

Officers located the suspect vehicle in the 1800 block of Towne Crossing Blvd. The vehicle, occupied by a driver and front-seat passenger, fled the area and entered U.S. 287 southbound from the 900 block of N. Walnut Creek Drive.

The suspect vehicle continued to evade officers and entered the city of Midlothian. In approximately the 4000 block of West U.S. 287, the vehicle was in the northbound lanes of traffic while traveling southbound. The vehicle collided with another vehicle.
