A high-level Cal State Northridge official was killed in a “very well-orchestrated execution” at a LA Live restaurant, an LAPD detective testified last week. The preliminary hearing for two suspects who were arrested in connection with the November 2023 killing is ongoing. Detectives say the motive as to why Morris was targeted is still unknown.

NEW: A missing girl was found during the arrest of a human trafficking suspect in Los Angeles, police announced Monday.

The Anaheim Police Department said the investigation into this case began on April 28, when the 17-year-old victim was reported missing from her Irvine home.

Orange County investigators learned that the teen, whose identity was not released, was possibly being exploited for purposes of commercialized sex.
