Missouri: Deputy Injured During Felony Arrest.

29-year-old Caleb Sowell of Arnold is charged with one count each of Assault - 2nd Degree - Special Victim and Resisting/Interfering With Arrest after a Deputy was injured trying to bring Sowell into custody.

Deputies went to Sowell's home to arrest him on multiple felony charges. Sowell was outside when the Deputies arrived. When he spotted them, he ran toward his home. Deputies gave chase and caught up to Sowell just as he got inside and allegedly slammed the door behind him. The closest Deputy used his arm to try to keep the door open, but made contact with a glass portion, which broke and cut the Deputy's arm in multiple places.

Sowell was arrested inside the home a short time later and is being held at the Jefferson County Jail without bond. The Deputy was treated at a local hospital and released.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or, positive thoughts for his recovery.🙏🏽
