In an inspiring display of solidarity, Special Enforcement and SWAT Teams from surrounding areas rallied together to support a Placer County Sheriff’s Deputy and his young son, who is fighting cancer. In just one day, the teams raised an impressive $5,000, which was presented directly to the Forneris family.

In addition to the monetary donation, the non-profit "CATO Cares" run by California Association of Tactical Officers - CATO, an organization that supports first responders and their families during difficult times, was on hand to present young Louis with a special gift. Louis received his very own plate carrier, a symbol of both physical protection and spiritual strength, to accompany him on his courageous journey. The plate carrier is a tribute to his resilience and warrior spirit.

Over the last two days, agencies terminated 401 wasteful contracts with a ceiling value of $2.1B and savings of $613M, including a $276k Treasury contract for a “Kenya program coordinator”, a $228k Treasury contract for “Kenya, Uganda, Namibia and Tanzania cruiser vehicles”, a $24k DHS contract for “two day training on equal opportunity in employment”, a $15k DHS contract for “Out and Equal workplace advocates”, and a $5.9M DoC contract for “environmental consulting support services”.

Please, pray for the Edmond police officer who was stabbed in the line of duty this afternoon. 🙏🏻

Oklahoma: At 4:30 PM, an Edmond officer was conducting a routine traffic stop near 15th and Broadway when a man approached and pepper-sprayed the officer. A physical altercation followed, during which the officer was stabbed at least twice.

Backup officers arrived, tased the suspect, and took him into custody. The officer was transported to OU Medical Center and admitted to the hospital in stable condition. The driver involved in the traffic stop was not harmed. This is an open investigation. More information will be shared when appropriate.

K9 Officer Joseph Lamalfa has retired from the West Deptford Police Department, New Jersey.

He started in the summer of 1999 with the Sea Isle City Police Department. He then joined the West Deptford Police Department in April of 2000 where he spent the next 25 years of his distinguished career. Well done Brother.
