An Ansonia police officer was surrounded by a group of people while responding to an illegal street takeover, and at least one person jumped on the hood of the officer's cruiser.

Los Angeles: An LAPD officials said the crash was reported just before 6:15 a.m. along Sherman Way in the Valley Glen area.

Investigators at the scene were also interviewing the driver involved in the crash. 

Both directions of Sherman Way, between Fulton Avenue and Varna avenues, remain closed for the investigation.  

The name of the officer and his condition have not been released. 

CA’s homeless problem hasn’t been addressed the way it needs to be because too many people are making too much money off of it.

A press conference was held in Grand Rapids with Michigan state Rep. Jim DeSana, who spoke about the case and about introducing a bill DeSana says would “make Michigan’s self-defense protections among the strongest in the nation” and create “a presumption of civil immunity after a favorable criminal outcome”

Coalition To Rescue Michigan founder Adam de Angeli spoke and criticized the Michigan Supreme Court and Court of Appeals after their 2024 decisions that allowed the case to proceed to trial. He stated “Christopher Schurr is an innocent man” and “What’s happened to him is a crime”
