BREAKING OVERNIGHT: At least 9 dead after driver crashes into crowd at Vancouver street festival, Canada.

At least nine people were killed and others were injured Saturday as a vehicle plowed into a large crowd at a street festival in Vancouver, law enforcement said, describing it as a "mass casualty incident."

UPDATE: The Arlington Police Department is investigating a late night shooting that resulted in the deaths of two young men and injured a third.  

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, at approximately 10:06 p.m., (local time) officers responded to a gas station in the 5600 block of S. Cooper Street to investigate a reported shooting.

Multiple people involved in the incident, including the suspected gunman, were still on scene when officers arrived and were quickly detained.

NEW: Three airmen who died during a World War II bombing raid have been accounted for, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency announced Thursday.

Update: The US has nearly 900 measles cases, and 10 states have active outbreaks.

The CDC’s confirmed measles cases count is 884, triple the amount seen in all of 2024. The vast majority — 646 — are in Texas, where an outbreak in the western part of the state that’s approaching the three-month mark.

After nearly 10 weeks of intensive training that began in late January, the Knoxville Police Department's Mounted Patrol officers—and their equine partners—are officially ready to hit the streets.

As part of their final training phase, officers will begin conducting mounted patrols in downtown Knoxville and at the Knoxville Smokies home opener on Tuesday, April 15.

This specialized unit enhances public safety, crowd control, and community engagement. We’re proud to see them in action!
