Iran releases the names and photos of some of the 17 'CIA spies' it claims to have captured as Trump insists they have NOT been arrested and accuses Tehran of lying. The images and information were released by the Iranian intelligence and security forces. All of the 'spies' are Iranian nationals who the Iranian government claims were lured by the US with the promise of getting visas. They were arrested in March, at the end of the Iranian calendar year, they claimed but it is only now being made public as the standoff between the West and Tehran intensifies. 😳

More than 20,000 New Yorkers are still without power after Con Edison disconnected their electricity in order to prevent a larger blackout under the strain of 100-degree heat. Early Monday morning Con Edison tweeted: 'We have restored about half of the 33,000 customers in sections of Brooklyn without power since last night. 'Our women and men continue to work safely to restore everyone as soon as we can.' That tweet was followed by another tweet two hours later that confirmed there were still thousands without power. 'We expect the rest of the 21,000 customer to have power this afternoon,' Con Edison said. Mayor Bill de Blasio called for an investigation of power outages that came at the end of this weekend's oppressive heat, saying he no longer trusts Con Edison after it decided to turn off power to thousands of customers. 🌑

Hundreds of thousands of people, including a slew of musicians and celebrities, filled San Juan streets on Monday to demand that Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló resign over offensive chat messages, the latest scandal to hit a bankrupt island struggling to recover from deadly 2017 hurricanes. Rosselló's announcement on Sunday that he would not seek re-election next year and would step down as head of the New Progressive Party seemed to have little effect on the crowds, who called for him to immediately surrender the governorship. San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz joined the demonstrators at the national strike as the sunny skies gave way to rain and told Rosselló it was time to relinquish his post.

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump paid their respects to the late Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens Monday. The first couple viewed Stevens' flag-draped coffin after the president announced the visit on Twitter. 'Going with First Lady to pay our respects to Justice Stevens. New Orleans police have released the shocking body-cam footage that shows the moment an officer wrestled a developmentally-challenged trumpet player to the ground after the owner of a book store called the cops. Eugene Grant, 27, was on the corner of Frenchman Street playing his trumpet with the Young Fellaz Brass Band when the owner of Frenchmen Art and Books, David Zalkind, complained about the group playing outside his store. Grant's arrest first went viral two weeks ago on July 8 after a New Orleans resident captured the incident during a Facebook live video shortly after 10pm. The video has accumulated more than 58,000 views. That video sparked protests within the community, prompting police to release the officer's body cam footage on Friday to add 'some context' to what transpired. 👮🏻‍♂️
