Virginia: An on-duty Chesapeake police officer was injured early this morning after being struck head-on by a suspected intoxicated driver. The crash occurred in the 1300 Block of South Military Highway when the other driver crossed into the officer’s lane and struck the marked patrol vehicle head-on.

The officer, whose name is not being released at this time, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  The officer was wearing a seat belt, which significantly reduced the severity of the injuries sustained.

The driver of the other vehicle was also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. DUI charges are pending as the investigation continues.

Earlier this week, members of our team had the pleasure to meet with the Polk County Police Department- Georgia and deliver steak dinners from Texas Roadhouse along with snack baskets and other gifts for the officers and the Polk County K9 training team.  

We were also honored to meet Officer McDonald who was injured in a vehicle pursuit last Saturday night.  It was good to see him recovering! 

Please keep Officer Chandler in your prayers as he still recovers in the hospital after multiple rounds of surgery.  We will be launching a giving campaign this weekend to support Officer Chandler and his family as they navigate the road to full recovery. 🙏💙

New drone video from KCAL News shows the latest view from above of Pacific Palisades, more than three months after the Palisades Fire wiped out much of the coastal community.

NEW: A 19-year-old from Redlands was arrested after allegedly causing a deadly four-car collision in downtown Riverside on April 16 that killed 37-year-old Christian Barragan and injured five others.

Police say Isaac Isaiah Villalba was speeding southbound on Market Street when he rear-ended Barragan’s Honda Civic, then struck another car before coming to a stop.
