NEW: Bond paperwork for the Texas murder suspect charged with stabbing a 17-year-old at a track meet shows heβs living in a large 4 bedroom home in a gated community estimated to be valued around $900K. Before a judge reduced Karmelo Anthonyβs $1 million bond which he posted hours later, his family and attorney said they were living pay check to pay check. A fundraiser has almost raised half a million dollars. Itβs not clear if that money is going toward living in this new home. His attorney said earlier this week, βThis family needs to be able to survive. Thereβs been a tremendous amount of pressure. I think at this point, living in a gated community, given everything, the safety of their younger children is very warranted. Security details and criminal defense are not cheap.β

His father said, "Our lives have changed forever and this will never be ok, but God needed my baby more than he was needed here. This has to be the biggest pill our families have had to swallow but I know the love and compassion in our families will get us through. This will never get easier, but we'll learn to live with it. Check on your kids mental!!!!"

Proud to be endorsed by San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus!
βAs evidenced by the overwhelming passage of Prop 36, Californians have very little faith in Sacramentoβs ability to keep our communities safe,β said Sheriff Dicus.
βWe need new leadership in Sacramento. As our next Governor, Sheriff Bianco will prioritize our communitiesβ safety, and work hand-in-hand with our stateβs sheriffs to ensure that law enforcement has the resources it needs to go after criminals.
I am proud to support Sheriff Bianco as he works to fix our state and reprioritize public safety.β
