Florida: A Pasco Sheriff’s Office deputy sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being struck and dragged by a fleeing vehicle during a traffic stop attempt on Friday afternoon.

The incident occurred on April 11th at approximately 2:00 p.m. in the area of US 19 and Beach Boulevard in Hudson. According to the Pasco Sheriff’s Office, a deputy initiated a traffic stop when the driver of the vehicle accelerated towards the deputy as he approached. The vehicle struck the deputy and dragged him approximately ten feet before fleeing the scene.

The injured deputy was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Kansas City’s Mayor has made a vow that street lawlessness will not be tolerated after an officer was critically injured during a hit-and-run with an ATV.

Missouri: Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas announced on Sunday, April 13, that a KCPD officer has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home after he was run over by an ATV the previous evening.

“Last night, a reckless ATV driver caused injuries to a Kansas City police officer, mayhem on our streets, and continued to display the lawlessness that too many dirt bike, stunt drivers, ATV users, racers, and others display on streets in dense areas of our city,” the Mayor said in a statement. “We expect our officer to recover and pray he can return to normal service soon.”

Last week, Belle Isle police officer Jacob Tapia was injured after an illegal alien, Paula Hernandez Lazaro, crashed into his patrol vehicle as she was making an illegal left turn.

The crash occurred on April 3 when Lazaro failed to yield while turning left. In addition to the moving violation, Lazaro was charged with operating without a license. The impact was so severe that Tapia’s car went off the road and struck a tree and a fence. 

Tapia was treated at Orlando Regional Medical Center for minor injuries and released the same day, authorities said.

BREAKING: One person is in custody in relation to the fire set to to Gov. Josh Shapiro’s official residence in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, early Sunday, officials said at a news conference.

Cody Balmer is in custody and will be charged with attempted murder, terrorism, aggravated arson and aggravated assault against an enumerated person, Pennsylvania District Attorney Fran Chardo said at the news conference Sunday.

In a statement posted to social media, Shapiro wrote that his family woke up at 2 a.m. on Sunday to banging on the door from state police. He added that he and his wife, Lori, were “eternally grateful” for authorities who helped evacuate the family.

“Thank God no one was injured and the fire was extinguished,” Shapiro wrote. “Every day, we stand with the law enforcement and first responders who run towards danger to protect our communities.”

NEW: An investigation is underway and one person is in custody after police sources say several shots were fired in West Chester, PA Sunday afternoon.

A man experiencing a mental health crisis was taken into custody after firing shots at officers on Sunday in West Chester, Pennsylvania, police said. 

The incident happened just before 3 p.m. in the area of 50 South Church Street, according to police.

Police said officers were called to the scene for a man experiencing a mental health crisis. When they arrived, the man began firing shots at police, authorities said. 

One officer was hurt with minor injuries, but nobody was struck by gunfire, according to police.
