JUST IN: Menendez Brothers team reacts to judge's ruling that resentencing hearing can proceed.

Four men in dark hoodies smashed glass counters and stole jewelry from a shop at Westfield Fashion Square Mall in Sherman Oaks.

The robbers injured one man and ransacked the store before fleeing in a gray/silver Audi A6 with yellow-covered license plates. One man was pepper-sprayed during the incident and was transported to the hospital. LAPD is actively investigating the case.

Deputy Struck by Vehicle

Dyer County, TN – The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office is saddened to report that one of our deputies was struck by a vehicle this evening while providing assistance to victims of an initial crash on Highway 104.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, and the injured deputy was airlifted to Regional One Health, a comprehensive level one trauma center located in Memphis, Tennessee. His current condition is unknown.

Sheriff Jeff Box stated, “Our deputy was doing his duty, serving and protecting the community when this tragic incident occurred. We ask for your thoughts and prayers for him and his family during this difficult time.🙏🏻

The Boerne Police Department, Texas, sadly announced the death of K-9 Chico, who was killed in the line of duty early Thursday morning.

Chico served with loyalty and courage, and his absence leaves a deep void in their department. An officer initiated a traffic stop and requested assistance from a police K-9. Another officer responded to the scene with K-9 Chico, and the officer deployed his partner, K-9 Chico, from his patrol vehicle. Chico conducted a sniff of the suspect vehicle and gave a positive alert for narcotics. Following the alert, Chico’s handler secured him inside the patrol vehicle and assisted with a search. As the pair began to leave the scene, the door of the patrol vehicle unexpectedly opened when the locking mechanism on the vehicle did not properly latch. K-9 Chico exited the vehicle and ran toward the interstate. Officers immediately began searching the area to locate and recover the canine. Tragically, a short time later, K-9 Chico was found in the grassy median of the interstate, where he had been struck by a vehicle. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after being located.

Mississippi: A Gulfport Police officer has been struck by a vehicle at the corner of HWY 49 and Dedeaux Road. The officer was on a motorcycle when the accident happened. They have been taken to Memorial Hospital for surgery.
