A stunning mosaic image recapturing the remarkable image of Buzz Aldrin on the surface of the moon taken by Neil Armstrong has been created to mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Developers Shoothill, a software specialist firm, created the mosaic from 8,000 images from all Apollo missions. Some of the images were repeated and the total amount of images was 50,000, and they in turn formed a cell of the larger image. In total it equates to a staggering one trillion pixels, which the firm claims could make it the biggest image ever made. Shoothill is waiting on verification from the Guinness book of records to confirm this. ๐Ÿ—ฟ๐Ÿš€ #WOW

The crushing mass of hot air is likely to blanket the region, home to a third of the U.S. population, through Sunday with little overnight relief, said meteorologist David Roth of the National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center. 'There are 124 million people under a heat advisory or excessive heat warning - that's a third of the population,' Roth said. As of Friday, the heat wave sprawled from Kansas to the Atlantic Coast, and from South Carolina north to Maine. It was expected to intensify on Saturday and Sunday. ๐Ÿฅต

The forces deploying to Prince Sultan Air Base, 85 miles south of Riyadh, include fighter jets, air defense missiles and likely more than 500 troops, U.S. officials said on Friday. Senior American defense officials said some U.S. troops and Patriot air defense missile systems have already arrived at the base, which was abandoned by Washington after it toppled Iraqi strongman Saddam Hussein in 2003. Officials said that the troop movement had been in the works for weeks, and was not a response to specific Iranian provocations - though the announcement came just hours after Iran seized two British oil tankers in the Persian Gulf. President Donald Trump said that the seizures were a mistake and that Iran was playing a dangerous game. 'Iran is showing their true colors,' he told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House has he departed for a weekend in New Jersey. 'Iran is in big trouble.'

Thousands of Puerto Ricans, led by protesters on horseback with some banging drums and singing, marched on the governor's residence in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Friday, demanding that Rossello resign over the messages which attacked political adversaries, some of which were misogynistic and homophobic. The chats on a Telegram message group were published on July 13, adding to Rossello's woes the same week that two of his former officials were arrested by the FBI as part of a federal corruption probe in the bankrupt U.S. territory. Congressional members, as well as multiple Democratic presidential nominee hopefuls, also took to Twitter to call for Rossello's resignation. New York City congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted 'The people of Puerto Rico have spoken loudly and clearly for the world to hear. We must stand with la isla. Rossellรณ must resign.'
