Sacramento County deputies detained a man believed to be armed more than an hour after a standoff that followed a pursuit and crash. Multiple other vehicles were hit during the chase.

Oklahoma: There is a significant police presence in rural Logan County near Seward and Midwest Boulevard because of an officer-involved shooting.

According to officials, two Logan County deputies were shot.

The deputies are expected to be okay.

Sen. Chuck Hall, R-Perry, has issued the following statement regarding the earlier incident: "My thoughts and prayers are with the brave deputies who were shot while responding to a domestic violence call this afternoon. I'm relieved to hear that their injuries are not life-threatening and that both officers are in stable condition. These deputies risked their lives to protect Oklahomans, and we owe them a deep debt of gratitude for their service. They are true heroes, and we must never take their courage and dedication for granted."

DEVELOPING: A SWAT team from the LAPD swarmed a Sunland shopping center after an armed carjacking suspect barricaded inside of a nearby laundromat.

A Boston police officer is facing a driving while under the influence charge following a crash that injured an off-duty police officer on Route 3 in Weymouth early Tuesday morning, officials said.

Troopers responding to a reported crash involving two vehicles on the southbound side of the highway shortly after midnight determined a 2023 Nissan Frontier had lost control and struck an SUV that was later determined to be an unmarked Boston police cruiser, according to state police.

The off-duty officer in the unmarked cruiser was driving home after his shift and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The driver of the Frontier, later identified as Boston Police Officer Stephen O’Connell, 38, showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, according to state police.
