Colorado: A Salida man is in custody facing multiple charges after a domestic assault arrest escalated into a violent confrontation, during which he attempted to choke a deputy and disarm him before being apprehended.

A Chaffee County deputy was the first to arrive on the scene. As he exited his patrol vehicle, a man, later identified as 46-year-old Cory Pottebaum, began approaching him aggressively, yelling foul language and threats at him, the sheriff's office said.

Despite the deputy repeatedly telling Pottebaum to back up, Pottebaum continued to approach before hitting the deputy. The two fell to the ground "in a struggle." Deputy was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or, positive thoughts for his recovery. 🙏🏻

For too long, America has been targeted by unfair trade practices that made our supply chain dependent on foreign advisories, eroded our industrial base, and hurt American workers. This has gravely impacted our national security.

President Trump’s strong action will help make America safe again. DHS, primarily through CBP, is ready to collect these new tariffs and put an end to unfair trade practices. Thank you President Donald J. Trump for putting America FIRST. 🇺🇸

Sometimes it is your job to "mess with the bull." Great job by the California Highway Patrol.

We were at the right place at the right time when the bull escaped from the rodeo arena! 🤭

Our brave graveyard shift “literally”leaped into action to safely round up the runaway bull before his owner could come take him back for another ride! All in a day’s work! 😉
