Update: Gov Whitmer deploys National Guard as northern Michigan recovers from devastating ice storm.

The northern Michigan ice storm left thousands without power, trapping some in their homes.

The city said they terminated Watson for creating “an atmosphere of distrust and division between the command team and the unions, which caused more problems and distracted from the department’s ability to focus on its job,”

Tensions between ICE & Boston heating up even further.

This AM, the Suffolk County (Boston) DA said he is now considering criminal charges against an ICE agent who was held in contempt of court for arresting an illegal alien during his criminal trial. DA Michael Hayden also says ICE's operations in Boston are not making the community safer.

"ICE routinely claims that their actions are improving public safety in Boston," Hayden said. "And I'm here today to tell you and to say that they are doing the exact opposite."

Reminder - ICE Boston's recent operation removed child rapists, fentanyl traffickers, murderers, & other aggravated felons from Massachusetts streets.

North Carolina: Charlotte police officer injured in crash was trying to stop a vehicle with a fake license plate, CMPD says.

Around 2 a.m., the officer was attempting to stop a vehicle displaying a fake license plate, according to the police department. As the officer attempted the traffic stop, the driver fled with the vehicle's lights turned off.

The police officer and suspect collided head-on on Winterfield Place, which is just off Central Avenue near the intersection with Sharon Amity Road in east Charlotte.

Both people were taken to a local hospital to be treated. The officer was released within hours after being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
