The single-engine plane, a GippsAero GA8 Airvan which is popular with parachutists crashed on Storskarsandskar island on the Ume river shortly after take-off from Umea airport at around 2pm. in northern Sweden. Shocking footage shows the moment the out-of-control plane plummeted out of the sky above rows of trees. Swedish media quoted witnesses reporting that some of the parachutists were seen trying to jump off the plane just before the crash. The police said that all nine dead were Swedish, with one person holding dual citizenship. The names of the victims were not been disclosed. ✈️😱

James Sartor, 40, of Teague, Texas, died on Saturday July 13 in Faryab Province, Afghanistan, while supporting Operation Freedom's Sentinel. A 24-year-old woman has been arrested after crashing a stolen Ferndale police car Friday morning. The woman allegedly stole a Ferndale patrol car and led officers on a chase that ended in the area of 7 Mile and Stoepel in Detroit. When police took her into custody, she allegedly said, "I just wanted to have some fun." No one was injured. #facepalm

Richard Cepeda, 31, died shortly before 10pm on Thursday evening in the Bronx. Surveillance footage shows him in his final moments sitting on a chair in the lobby of a building. He is approached by a man, wearing a white shirt and a black and yellow du-rag. Cepeda appears to hand the man something who then aims a gun at his head. As Cepeda tries to flee he punched by another man and then shot in the back. Police released the video Sunday of what they believe was a drug deal gone wrong. 😱
