Twenty-six people have been injured after Yemeni rebels attacked an airport in Saudi Arabia, prompting fresh tensions between Riyadh and its fierce regional rival Iran. A missile fired by Houthi rebels hit the airport's arrivals hall in the mountain resort city of Abha, according to Saudi officials, injuring passengers of different nationalities. The Saudi-led coalition which is fighting the Houthis in Yemen immediately pointed the blame at Iran, saying Tehran had equipped the rebel group with 'advanced weapons'. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿš€

Two oil tankers, the MT Front Altair and the Kokuka Courageous, were hit by explosions in the Gulf of Oman today and the Altair has reportedly sunk after catching fire. The Taiwanese oil refiner which chartered the Altair said the ship was 'suspected of being hit by a torpedo' while a shipping broker said the Panama-flagged Kokuka had suffered an explosion after an 'outside attack' which may have involved a magnetic mine. Britain has urged 'extreme caution' amid high tensions in the Middle East, just weeks after four tankers were attacked in a mysterious act of sabotage off the UAE coast which Washington believes was the work of Iran. The tensions have prompted the U.S. to send aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln to bolster its military presence in the region. ๐Ÿšข๐Ÿ”ฅ

Astonishing video has emerged of a bald eagle swimming effortlessly to a shore in Lake Winnipesaukee in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. The footage was taken by Laconia resident Tyler Blake on Monday morning. 'Just to see how uncanny it is, for it to be, like, a human doing the breaststroke, it's just amazing,' Blake said. Experts say the bird was not injured and was likely swimming with a fish secured in its talons. Bald eagles are known to swim during hunting or holding fish because they are buoyant and can take breaks in their swim. #WOW

Hong Kong's authorities have closed government offices after crowds and riot police clashed in a day of violence over a new extradition bill. Police fired pepper spray, used batons and water cannons to beat back umbrella-wielding protesters who tried to reach the city's parliament on Wednesday. The authorities began shuttering government buildings in the financial district, which will remain closed until the end of the week, as a handful of protesters remained milling on the streets early on Thursday. Wednesday's violence was some of the worst the city has seen since Britain handed it back to Chinese rule in 1997. The Hong Kong Hospital Authority said 72 people had been hospitalised by 10pm on Wednesday. ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฑ #Retract
