Monsey man says he is being threatened after CNN interview on vaccinations

#Rickland: A member of the Orthodox Jewish community in #Monsey says he is being threatened by people who are against vaccinations because he recently spoke out about why people should be vaccinated.

Shimon Singer says his life changed drastically since he gave an interview to #CNN earlier this month. Singer said he was concerned about the measles and his now 3-month-old daughter, Malki, who is too young to get vaccinated.

Airing those concerns seems to have now made Singer a target. Singer says he's received hundreds of angry phone calls from people he believes are “anti-vaxxers.” Some, he says, have even threatened him.

The calls are also coming into his work at Turtle Boo, a kids entertainment center he owns in Spring Valley.

Singer says the calls are in Yiddish and English.

The shootout between rival gangs took place around 2pm local time in the Uruapan municipality in the western Mexican state of Michoacan. Disturbing photographs of the scene show bodies piled up next to military-grade machine guns. When police arrived on the scene gang members fled into the woods leaving behind nine dead, while another man died later of his injuries. Those rushed to a nearby hospital were also arrested for alleged involvement.😱👮🏻‍♂️

Almost one-quarter of the ice in the West Antarctic ice sheet has been classified as "unstable," according to a new study released this week. This is due to the huge volume of ice that's melted from the ice sheet over the past 25 years. Some areas are losing ice five times faster than they were in the early 1990s. This map shows changes to the Antarctic ice sheet’s thickness from 1992 to 2017. Ice loss is in red while ice gained is in blue. 😱❄️💧
