A woman who drove into the middle of the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia was rescued after brave strangers swam out to her rapidly sinking SUV and smashed the windows with a tire iron. The woman was freed from the car just as it went underwater. She was later taken to hospital but no serious injuries were reported.
