Recently this father of 5 was arrested and taken into custody in Austria. Manuel is a nationalist who has been involved in the national music scene in Austria and Germany for many years. Most notably with one of my favorites, beatdown hardcore band Terrorsphära, and nonconformist straight edge rap Kombaat X. It's more than just music - he leads a positive, healthy lifestyle rejecting the endless consumption and weakness of today's decayed society. Beyond the impact of his musical talents, he is also a father, an activist, a personal trainer, and a body builder. The man is an exemplary role model for the youth, not just in Europe, but in America too.
Germany and Austria have some of the harshest laws regarding speech, making the term "thought criminal" an unfortunate reality for those native to these countries. I have always admired the nationalist scene over there for being able to produce so many great bands, content, and activism despite the immense repression. Manuel committed no crime yet he is facing up to 20 years in prison due to draconian "laws" which target patriotic, free thinking individuals.
Pennsylvania Active Club stands in solidarity with Manuel and his loved ones. This could happen to any of us.
