Camera Thrift Finds in Huizen
Here’s a little story about walking into a Dutch thrift store with no expectations and biking home with a backpack full of other people’s cameras.

Panasonic Lumix S 2/40 Review
My Sigma fp L had been sitting on a shelf for a while. All the lens I have are bigger and heavier than the camera itself, which rather defeats the point of this small camera.
I was about to settle for a Viltrox pancake when Panasonic announced the new Lumix S 2/40. I waited for it to reach my country, ordered it immediately, and it turned out to be exactly the lens I’d been describing to myself: small, sharp, fast enough, and not expensive. fp L is back around my neck now.
I wrote a little review with tons of pictures inside, check it out!

My typical first pass at culling photos after a walk with Otis. After the initial selection, I quickly edit the first batch to see which images have the most potential, then narrow it down even further for more careful editing. Those are the ones that get published.

I completely forgot to mention that, together with the latest update to my website, I added virtual shelves with (most of) my photography gear, if you’re curious:

My friend has sent me my dream camera to try out — a Hasselblad 203FE. This is an absolute monster of medium format film photography. It's hard to find words to describe how much I enjoy shooting with it. I've recently finished my first roll of Kodak Gold 200, I feel like I have a ton to learn about how to use this masterpiece of engineering properly. Can't wait to see the results!

Optical Design Wallpapers
I've always found optical schematics of photographic lenses beautiful. There's something satisfying about seeing a legendary lens reduced to a handful of precisely calculated curves and spaces.
I recreated several of these classic designs as minimalist wallpapers. If you know a fellow camera nerd who'd appreciate this, send them the link!

Reversing the front element of Helios 44-2 lens takes a couple minutes and results in extremely soft, ethereal, almost underwater pictures. Definitely going to explore this style further.
