Today I learned that I have pretty severe auditory processing disorder, APD. I have normal hearing but sometimes I experience difficulty making sense of speech, especially in noisy environments or when people talk fast or unclearly (e.g., I often ask “what?” or “can you repeat that?”). Not cool!

It seemed to me that cyclists in Stockholm have a much more diverse range of bicycles than in Amsterdam. Here, we have millions of omafietsen that all look more or less the same, but in Stockholm they ride bikes from different brands, customized with various saddles, handlebars, and accessories — overall looking far more personal.

Foam museum in Amsterdam is on the lookout for emerging photographic talents. Every year (or so?) they open submissions to showcase photographers whose work pushes boundaries and tells compelling stories. I'm going to work harder on my own portfolio this year and I plan to apply.
