*This legacy automaker took a leaf out of Tesla's book, then beat Elon Musk to the punch*

Elon Musk — in addition to a growing list of analysts and investors — views Tesla (TSLA) - Get Free Report as a tech company that happens to also be in the business of making cars, rather than a car company exploring a few other side ventures. As part of that, artificial intelligence and robotics have become a core value for Musk and Tesla, two things perhaps best exemplified by Musk's Optimus program. But in recent months, the project — helped along by Large Language Models (LLMs) and neural nets — has been making bigger strides. *Costco shoppers buying up cheap dupe for popular $1200 luxury item*

When you pause to consider some of the greatest wonders and inventions of our time, what comes to mind? Perhaps it's the many medical advances we've happened upon. Or maybe it's electric vehicles. It could be our ever-advancing air and space travel. Or even those little robo mall cops that roll around looking for theft and vagrancy. Related: Uber shutting down popular billion-dollar service If you're more inclined toward the retail and consumer side of things, you might even go as far as to say that Costco (COST) - Get Free Report is one of the greatest treasures of our generation. And you wouldn't be alone. Costco boasts nearly 130 million members and continues opening warehouses across the world. In January, it opened its first location in southern China to much delight and fanfare. The first location is positioned in Shenzhen, also referred to as "China's Silicon Valley." It features 44,500-square-meters of warehouse, plus the usual staples, such as cheaper fruit, produce, and the famous Costco rotisserie chicken. It also had some new items as a part of the attraction, including a five foot tall bear named "Lots-O’-Huggin’ Bear," from the hit movie "Toy Story." Naturally, people crowded to the opening. Some had to wait over an hour just to gain entry. The Costco Wholesale Corp. store in Shenzhen, China, on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024. Back stateside, customers are clamoring for a new item that looks awfully similar to one you'd typically only see in boutiques and upmarket stores. Eagle-eyed customers began noticing the perfect dupe for the Anthropologie Primrose mirror, which usually retails for close to $1200. The Costco version, called the Ravena Floor Mirror, features similar dimensions and an eerily similar aesthetic, costs just $149.99. "FINALLY!!! The Costco mirror is making its rounds through the regions and it was worth the wait!!!" Instagram account @CostcoHotFinds wrote on Instagram featuring a video of the mirror. Still saving up for the Anthropologie one though," one user wrote on Instagram of the dupe. "Just called them near me, it is sold out, and not expected to be restocked in the near future. If you can grab one, don't debate it... Just do it!" another wrote. Shoppers also report that Sam's Club has a similar-looking mirror, and some prefer it. It retails for $149.98. "Sam’s club beat Costco at the Anthro dupe. I scored the Sam’s one and have to say, I’m surprised I like the Sam’s one better! I usually choose Costco over Sam’s any day!" one user wrote.

*Jim Cramer has a startling prediction for Tesla and the 'Magnificent Seven'*

The film the Magnificent Seven didn't end well for the majority of the cowboys involved, and CNBC's Jim Cramer sees a similar future for at least one of the big names in the group of seven stocks that have taken on the moniker.Related: Elon Musk says AI push requires massive Tesla ownership change On the Wednesday, Jan. 17 edition of Mad Money, Jim Cramer shared what he thinks would be major themes surrounding the stock market in 2024, which included a stark prediction for a major juggernaut. During the segment, Cramer suggested that one of the companies named in the "Magnificent Seven," might have a major drop off. "Who is to say we need all seven? Only three survived the movie," Cramer said on his show. The host said that to him, "it seems like Tesla would be the first to fall" out of the Seven, noting that "petulant CEO" Elon Musk's desire for more control of the EV automaker was a "bad look" for the company. "I guess it's not enough to have 13% and be the richest man in the world," Cramer said about the situation. *Subway makes a major menu change*

Subway has undergone a face-lift in recent months, and it appears to be ramping up its efforts to embark on its "multiyear transformation journey" by giving its menu a makeover. The fast-food chain that’s “big on size,” is expanding its footlong menu for customers who carry a sweet and savory tooth, and it claims that it will be a “perfect pairing for their favorite footlong,” according to a new press release. Subway has announced three new 12-inch snacks called Subway Sidekicks, which is set to launch in its U.S. locations on Jan. 22. Related: New Starbucks winter menu appears to have leaked online ahead of launch The Footlong Cookie, which is a 12-inch chocolate chip cookie that retails for $5, has officially been announced as part of this menu update after customers already had a sneak peak of the sweet treat in 2022 and 2023 on National Cookie Day, which debuted in select restaurants. But what hasn’t been seen before at Subway restaurants is its new Cinnabon Footlong Churro, which is “served warm” and sprinkled with Cinnabon's Makara cinnamon and sugar, and it is priced at $2. Also, if you’re a fan of pretzels, Subway has also announced that it will be giving you 12 inches of it with its new Auntie Anne's Footlong Pretzel. The new “buttery and salty” snack, which sells for $3, is served with Subway’s honey mustard that “takes each bite to another level.” The new menu update from Subway may not be the last this year as Subway North America President Douglas Fry hinted in the announcement of the menu update that there may be more to come this year. A customer looks at the menu while waiting in line at a Subway restaurant on Jan. 12, 2023 in Austin, Texas. Brandon Bell/Getty Images "The introduction of Sidekicks builds on six decades of equity and expertise in all things footlong," said Fry in the press release. "This whole new category on our menu offers Subway fans something they can't get anywhere else and kicks off a year of culinary innovation and delicious new menu items. 2024 may be the most exciting chapter yet in our growth story." Subway’s new menu revamp comes after it debuted “freshly sliced meats” in its U.S. restaurants in July last year, where it introduced four new deli-style sandwiches which include: Titan Turkey, Grand Slam Ham, Garlic Roast Beef and The Beast. The restaurant claims that it is “raising the bar even higher” for its brand with the new sandwiches, and that the change comes after it overhauled its pantry of ingredients in 2021. Subway’s menu changes come after it closed hundreds of its stores across the U.S. for the past few years while reportedly facing declining sales. Even after facing a couple of roadblocks in its business, last year Subway agreed to be acquired by Roark Capital for nearly $10 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal. Where have you seen this before? Perhaps in a 2006 cult movie in which Samuel L. While the situation on an AirAsia flight from Bangkok to Phuket was not quite as extreme, a viral TikTok video captured a thin snake crawling out of the overhead compartment as passengers watched a flight attendant try to capture it into an empty water bottle. In another video of the same incident, the serpent's slithering moves are set to upbeat Thai music.Related: Loose otters and a marmoset caused some serious chaos aboard a flight Multiple passengers aboard AirAsia's Flight FD3015 filmed the moment shortly before the flight was scheduled to land on the Thai island popular among tourists but two videos captured by TikTok user @wannabnailssalon garnered the most internet attention — a respective five and 1.4 million views for each video. @ ♬ - Inside the wild hunt to capture serpent with water bottles and plastic bags As the serpent continued to crawl through the cabin in the space above the overhead compartment, other workers and passengers made efforts to capture it. Flights that leave from tropical destinations occasionally have similar situations with rodents and small animals breaking out onboard. After flight attendants searched the plane, they found a box full of otters, a marmoset and 28 star tortoises that then got out and started crawling through the plane. A woman was later apprehended on suspicion of smuggling the animals from a Thai wet market while the animals were confiscated and held for examination by Taiwanese customs to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
