Ahh remember back in the day when you were out shopping and got a little hungry and decided to stop at good ole taco bell for some cheap lunch that you might get some heartburn from later but whatever cause you grew up with it and it tastes good and it's cheap? We've been eating less and less fast food in the last few years for this very reason but didn't realize how much we are being price gouged and kicked in the nuts after we just picked up some Tbell for lunch today for 3 of us and dropped FORTY FIVE Fucking DOLLARS. I thought I was losing my mind. After a quick search I found a menu from Taco Bell from 2019. Here's what we ordered and what it would have cost merely 4 years ago. Taco 12 pack 2023 $22.99 2019 $11.99 Cheesy bean rice burrito 2023 $1.89 2019 $1.00 Cheesy gordita crunch 2023 $5.89 2019 $2.69 Nachos Bell grande 2023 $6.99 2019 $3.29 Medium Baja blast 2023 $2.89 2019 $1.49 2023 total (not including tax) $40.65 2019 total $20.46 That's some high priced diarrhea we just gave ourselves but this is going to be the last time. RIP cheesy gordita crunch. Been nice knowing you. Edit: even taking away the 12 pack of tacos doesn't excuse the fact that every single item is almost 100% more expensive than 4 years ago. EDIT2: to compare to a more reasonable order for 3 people and not ordering single items here is another scenario. Two people getting the 3 taco combo, 1 person the gordita crunch combo, share the nachos and 1 person is feeling extra hungry and throws on a burrito cause it's only a buck and change...or it was anyway.
