*What is the best acting performance in a movie wholly unworthy of it?*

In another thread, someone brought up the infamous Street Fighter movie which, nevertheless, had a famously great (and unfortunately final) performance by Raul Julia as if no one told him the movie was goofy as hell and not to take it so seriously. His Bison was absolutely brilliant, delivering his lines like a man full of life and vigor in spite of the fact he was literally nearing death. It made me wonder what other wildly out-of-place brilliant performances were committed to films that were otherwise mediocre at best. We expect top notch acting in The Wolf of Wall Street, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, There Will Be Blood, etc., but where was a stellar acting performance applied to a weaker film? submitted by /u/samx3i to r/movies [link] [comments]
