*Do any other Millenials have no interest in watching awards shows?*

I was talking to my Aunt yesterday during a family get together, and she was discussing with other aunts and uncles that the Golden Globes were having a difficult time finding hosts. They are all in their 60's to 70s now. None of the younger (read: upper 30's to just over 40 year olds) people in the room cared, and we began discussing that none of us watched awards shows- with the exception of the VMA's when we were younger. None of us watch the Oscars, a few will tune into the Grammy's or CMA's if they like an artist that is performing, but even that has turned into just DVR'ing the show and fast forwarding to the performance they want to see. *My stepdaughter had blown up on me and I have no idea why.*

Me and her father have been dating for about 8 months now. Since the beginning, I have tried to my best to have a relationship with her. I have been nothing but kind to her and I have respected all her boundaries. In the messages, you can see how much I make an effort to build our relationship, but to me, it feels like she just doesn’t try. I ask her all the time in person if she wants to go out to eat or do another activity, and it’s always a no. She avoids me when I’m visiting and barely says any words to me. I’m not sure what I have done to make her blow up on me like this? I’m hurt and I had to step away from my desk for a moment to cry in my car. Maybe I am being a bit too overbearing, I don’t know.
