*Elon Musk says the Tesla Cybertruck will be able to double as a boat*

Beyond being designed to withstand a barrage of bullets, the Tesla (TSLA) - Get Free Report Cybertruck has a built-in feature that enables it to drive in more than two feet of water. Speaking on a recent episode of Jay Leno's garage, Lars Moravy, vice president of vehicle engineering at Tesla, explained a feature called "wade mode," which enables Cybertuck drivers to cross a river or other smaller body of water when necessary. The automaker built a new piece of technology it calls a "Scuba Pack," which pressurizes the battery, to enable this. The mode currently takes up to 10 minutes to activate and comes with a time limit of 30 minutes. But CEO Elon Musk is interested in more than just wading through puddles. He said in a post on X that Tesla will offer a "mod package that enables Cybertruck to traverse at least 100m of water as a boat." Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding the package or its expected timing. Musk said that Tesla "mostly" just needs to "upgrade cabin door seals" to achieve this iteration of off-roading. Apple will stop selling its Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 versions in the U.S. due to a patent controversy. Apple is in an ongoing dispute with medical device maker Masimo over the watches’ blood oxygen feature. The U.S. International Trade Commission ruled in October that Apple was in violation of Masimo’s patent for technology used in its pulse oximeter. While Masimo’s CEO has said Apple’s use of the technology is a quote “deliberate infringement” of its patent, Apple has fired back - saying in a statement, “Apple strongly disagrees with the order and is pursuing a range of legal and technical options to ensure that Apple Watch is available to customers.” Apple also said its other watch models will remain on shelves for now, but watches that are Series 6 and later could be pulled depending on the verdict. *AITA for telling my MIL that she will not be sleeping in my teens bed for the holidays?*

So I(33f) have accepted my MIL(66f) with staying at our home over the holidays, as she lives in South Carolina, and it is too far away from where we live. (for reference, i live central PA). I told my MIL that we would be blowing up an air mattress and putting it in the baby’s bedroom which he does not sleep in yet. EDIT: Sorry for the mistype, I meant to type 56!! Sorry! She exclaimed that the air mattress was too uncomfortable for her back, so we gave her different options such as the futon, couches pushed together, and even stacked pillows! She declined all of the above, and borough up my 14 year old stepdaughters bed. I told her this was absolutely off-limits, as this was my stepdaughters bed and not hers! She proceeded to tell me that my stepdaughter would not be staying at our house at that time anyways, so it would be just fine. I told her that that was not the point, and that it is still not hers to sleep in. I offered the futon, couches, and air mattress again and yelled that my stepdaughters bed is “pretty”, and she should get to sleep in it. I told her that she would still not be sleeping in it. She calls me and I pick up the phone, and she tells me that she will not be coming over for Christmas if she can’t sleep over in my stepdaughters bed. I told her that it was fine, and would be less of a hassle. AITA for not letting her sleep in my teens bed? EDIT: I’ve talked to my stepdaughter about the situation, and she said she was a little uncomfortable about her grandma pushing for the 5th time this month, but said she was fine with her staying in her bed. EDIT 2: I just wanted to clarify to everyone that we have just redone my stepdaughters bedroom less than a week ago, and she hasn’t slept in it yet. This upcoming weekend(Christmas when MIL will be coming over) will be the first time she is sleeping in it, and that means MIL will be sleeping in her new bedroom before her. I wanted to save it for her especially since we put finishing touches. We have an extra room downstairs with a twin bed, but we didn’t want to split up MIL and FIL, but it was an option that she had declined. Hopefully last edit: My stepdaughter had moderate-severe scoliosis and can NOT sleep on the ground. Today, the CEO of our company swung by to answer questions. My question was basically “what would it take to get a promotion.” His answer, “do what you gotta do, and just keep asking.” I responded that I had already asked quite a bit. To which he said “just keep doing it, you won’t annoy them. You’d be surprised how many times people had to ask.” I revealed my number was 37 (these past 4 years). Right then and there, he left and then I learn I am fired. I overheard him saying to my boss (direct boss) “37 times? Why would you allow this?” It made me wonder why I was given the advice to keep asking and told “oh you won’t annoy them.” That clearly wasn’t true, as proven by the following events. Still, shouldn’t have admitted I have any ambition if they didn’t want me to have it.
