Dads of Reddit - should I look when my wife gives birth?

My wife is pregnant and is likely to deliver soon, I’m going to be in the room and supporting her as best as I possibly can. However, there is one thing I truly cannot figure out - do I take my peek or avert my eyes? I’ve read and spoken to several people who have mixed reviews on the matter, from “it’s beautiful” to “I’ll never unsee it.” I know it will likely be a split (pun intended) decision but just wanted to hear others thoughts? One of my gfs was complaining about how much books cost (there was a post on here the other day that blew up about this too), so I brought up going to the library. And she looked at me like I was crazy. It's surprising because everyone complains about the cost of books, yet libraries are filled with free resources. It makes me wonder, are libraries just not on people’s radar anymore? The amount of people complaining about lack of content and lack of groups for BFD 10 man...... Jeez.....chill out guys. The game was released Thursday evening. It's not even been a week. The amount of hours it takes to get 25 and some of you have done it by Saturday..... Go and spend some time with family or friends..... go ouside and go for a walk. *You should get married early*

Advice that you usually hear from people (often those with unhappy marriages) is that you should “live it up” in your 20’s and even into your 30’s before settling down and getting married. It seems so much better to get married as soon as you find someone who you can grow alongside with. I believe most real bonding happens when you grow up right alongside someone, because then you each mold each other into the perfect wife/husband. Not to mention starting a family early. I get that kids are expensive so get that in order first, you don’t want to raise your kids in poverty, but watching your kids grow up before you get too old just seems so much better. Again, I’m not saying to necessarily rush something permanent like that, but you should really seize any opportunity to lock in your soulmate and grow with them, rather than waiting just because you were told to do so. submitted by /u/whiteknite321 to r/unpopularopinion [link] [comments]
