*What Tesla's Cybertruck costs as deliveries begin*
TheStreet's J.D. Durkin brings the latest business headlines from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange as markets open for trading Friday, December 1.Related: The Cybertruck impact on Tesla could be as massive as this iconic American muscle carFull Video Transcript Below: J.D. DURKIN: I’m J.D. Durkin, reporting from the New York Stock Exchange. Here’s what we’re watching on TheStreet today. It is the first trading day of December, and stocks are coming off a record November, which saw all three major averages end out the month higher, snapping a three-month losing streak. Hopes that the Federal Reserve could be done raising rates or soon cut rates drove optimism in November. Today, investors will be awaiting comments from Fed Chair Jerome Powell as he takes the stage at Spelman College. The next Fed decision is scheduled for December 13th. Turning to other news - the wait is finally over, Tesla fans. The company officially handed keys to its first Cybertruck customers. However, if you were planning to buy one of the futuristic-looking vehicles, it’s going to cost more than you thought. In 2019, Tesla CEO Elon Musk originally said the base model for the Cybertruck would cost around $40,000. But the price tag now stands at about $61,000 - and that, according to Tesla’s website, is if you’re willing to wait until 2025. Want one in 2024? That will run you close to $80,000. Tesla also announced it would sell two higher-end versions of the truck, with the top-of-the-line model, dubbed the Cyberbeast, starting at about $100,000. At the event, Musk touted the Cybertruck’s 11,000-pound towing capacity and its ability to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 2.6 seconds. Tesla says it hopes to produce 250,000 Cybertrucks a year, but Musk acknowledged that likely wouldn’t happen until 2025. That’ll do it for your daily briefing. From the New York Stock Exchange, I’m J.D. Durkin with TheStreet.

*Carnival Cruise Line making huge onboard change*
Cruise ships face some problems that land-based hotels rarely have to deal with. Traditional hotels, for example, don't have a single day when all guests leave and another group replaces them a few hours later. Sure, hotels might have more turnover on Sundays or the day after a huge event, but even for something like the Super Bowl, not every person staying in Las Vegas for the game will leave on Monday. Related: Carnival Cruise Line addresses a dress-code controversy Cruise ships, however, must quickly get their passengers off the ship so they can clean the rooms and bring a new group of customers onboard. Even people sailing on the same ship in the same room on back-to-back cruises need to leave their rooms and go through immigration (which sometimes means leaving the ship and sometimes involves customs officials coming onboard). That's a daunting process and even the slightest glitch can cause major pain for passengers. If there's a delay getting to the port and getting people off the ship that can lead to new passengers and old passengers being at the port at the same time. In addition to causing crowding issues, it also means that parking lots have not cleared out for arriving passengers. That can lead to gridlock at the port, impacting not just the affected cruise, but others leaving from the same port. Getting upwards of 5,000 passengers on and off a cruise ship can be a major challenge. Image source: Carnival Cruise Line Here's how Royal Caribbean disembarkation works Every cruise line handles embarkation and disembarkation differently. In a broad sense, however, passengers on Carnival Cruise Line (CCL) - Get Free Report, Royal Caribbean, MSC, and even Virgin Voyages have the same general disembarkation choices. Passengers can opt to walk off with their own luggage, On Royal Caribbean ships, passengers who opt to have the cruise line handle their luggage get luggage tags in their room the night before the cruise ends. Those tags have a number that will ultimately help the passenger know when to leave. People who opt for the assisted departure pack their bags, put the luggage tags on their bags, and leave those bags outside their rooms on the last night. Porters collect those bags and ultimately deliver them to the cruise terminal the next day. Each tag has a number and Royal Caribbean shows where each numbered group can wait after passengers have to vacate their cabins. On the departure day, the cruise line uses one of its in-house television channels to share expected departure times for each numbered group and the designated waiting spots. Carnival makes a disembarkation change Carnival has begun rolling out a new disembarkation program that uses its app to control the process, Cruise Hive reported. "We always want debarkation to be as easy as possible. Sometimes it is, sometimes it is not," said Carnival Brand Ambassador John Heald shared on his Facebook page. "I wanted to let you know that we are rolling out a new debarkation system for those guests who put their luggage outside of their cabin door and want to choose what time they will disembark." Under the new system. guests will pick a departure time on the Carnival Hub app and to receive notifications on the app as to when they can leave the ship. The current disembarkation process requires guests to go to guest services to get luggage tags. That can create long lines and backups, at a time when guest services is also busy. Luggage tags will be delivered to the passengers' cabins based on the selection people make in the app. Carnival is currently testing what it's calling "Digital Debark" on four ships, Conquest, Spirit, Dream, and Elation. It plans to slowly role it out across the fleet, but has not shared a timetable for the change, according to Heald. Digital Debark will not impact passengers who opt to walk their own luggage off the ship.

*Cathie Wood snaps up 143,000 shares of Pure Storage stock after 12% tumble*
Pure Storage (PSTG) - Get Free Report, a cloud-based data storage company, reported third-quarter earnings results Wednesday that featured a muted outlook for the rest of the year, despite topping Street expectations. The tech company earned an adjusted $763 million for the quarter, a 13% year-over-year increase that topped analyst forecasts of $761 million. Pure further reported a 26% year-over-year increase in subscription services revenue and a non-GAAP gross margin of 74%. "We are pleased to see strengthening demand across our data storage platform,” CFO Kevan Krysler said in a statement. “Our business strategy continues to focus on continually increasing the value we provide to our customers including our consumption and subscription-based offerings."Related: Cathie Wood unveils bold multi-billion-dollar thesis for one of Tesla Chief Elon Musk's other ventures Still, the company posted lower-than-anticipated guidance for the year, saying that it expects to see revenue of $782 million for its current quarter, and revenue of $2.8 billion for its full fiscal year. Both forecasts came in well below analyst expectations of $919 million and $2.96 billion respectively. CEO Charles Giancarlo told CNBC after the release of the results that the weaker forecast is due to the fact that the company is switching over to a subscription model. Once investors have more time to go over the results, he said, they will see that Pure still has a "good story." Investors, however, weren't buying it — the stock plummeted more than 12% in the wake of the report, falling a further 3% Friday morning. With some of its earlier gains now erased, the stock is up only 24% for the year. Cathie Wood, the CEO and investment lead of Ark Invest, took advantage of the dip to roughly double a small holding Ark had in the company. Ark, through its Next Generation Internet ETF, on Nov. 30 bought 143,107 shares of Pure, a purchase worth roughly $4.7 million based on Pure's closing price of $33.31. The purchase boosted Ark's Pure holding to 316,219 shares, worth $10.5 million and weighted at .69% of the fund. Roughly 30% of the ETF is made up of large holdings in Coinbase (COIN) - Get Free Report, Roku (ROKU) - Get Free Report and Grayscale Bitcoin Trust.
