*Cybertruck to cost between $50k and $80k, Wedbush's Dan Ives says*

It may be a few years later than expected, but the debut of Tesla's (TSLA) - Get Free Report Cybertruck is finally here. Beginning Thursday, the world's preeminent electric vehicle maker will start delivering its first entrant into the pickup truck space that has dominated the U.S. market for years. Related: Elon Musk backpedals on harsh Cybertruck resale guidelines While electric pickups have failed to gain popularity, the ICE version of the vehicle has consistently been the one type of vehicle in America that seems immune to the downturns sedans and other vehicles have experienced. In 2022, Ford (F) - Get Free Report sold 640,000 F-150 pickup trucks, marking its 41st consecutive year as the country's bestselling vehicle. Tesla may never reach that level of saturation with the Cybertruck, but finding the right price range for the vehicle will go a long way to determining how competitive the company will be in the space. The company announced that the vehicle price would start at $39,000 when the Cybertuck was first unveiled in 2019. Musk has said in the past that he wanted to keep the base model of the vehicle under $50,000. But Wedbush analyst Dan Ives doesn't think the company will be able to accommodate Musk's wishes when the price tag is officially announced later this week. "This is another historical moment for Tesla and Musk with the Cybertruck unveil as the Street is excited to see the formal vehicle launch featuring the dual-motor trim and its top-level tri-motor AWD performance model along with updates regarding production and scaling of the Cybertruck platform which is expected to be ~250k units per year by FY25," Ives said in his note, according to Street Insider. "We believe updated pricing will come out at Thursday's event on each of the trim levels as the company scales the Cybertruck production story to give more clarity to the Street. Whisper numbers for the single motor are in the ~$50k range, with prices for the dual and tri-motor variants likely to be in the $60k - $80k range." Small details have been leaking out about the vehicle ahead of Thursday, with confirmation that the pickup will have a 2,500 pound payload and 11,000 pounds of towing capacity. *Honda is recalling 300,000 of its most popular cars due to a dangerous defect*

Despite being cumbersome and uncomfortable, seat belts have proven their worth as a vital, life-saving device in the unfortunate event of a crash. Related: Volkswagen is taking some drastic measures to make itself 'competitive' again That's why Honda is recalling over 300,000 vehicles in the United States due to a defect within an important safety component of the seatbelts. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), certain 2023 and 2024 model year Accord sedans and HR-V crossover SUVs might have front seat belt pretensioners that are missing a rivet that secures the quick connector and wire plate. Said rivet was skipped in the assembly process, and the resulting product was installed into cars. Without this rivet, the pretensioner -- which helps secure occupants to their seats during a crash -- might not be able to do its job when the unfortunate event occurs; increasing the risk of injury. A Honda Accord e:PHEV sedan is on display VCG/Getty Images The faulty components, made by Joyson Safety Systems, were first brought to the attention of Honda in May 2023. By September, the company started an investigation when it received affected parts and issued a recall. Seven people have filed warranty claims with the automaker, but have not reported any injuries or deaths as a result. Honda is asking affected owners to take their cars to their local Honda dealership, who will inspect the seat belt pretensioner assemblies, and replace if necessary - free of charge. More Technology:The company behind ChatGPT is now facing a massive lawsuitProminent EV company says latest deal will be the first of manyApple makes a big new move with Elon Musk's Twitter According to an estimate made by Honda (HMC) - Get Free Report, roughly 1% of the 303,770 vehicles recalled actually have the faulty part, however, they advise owners to take their cars to the dealers to make sure. Owners will receive letters in the mail starting on January 8, 2024. Discuss trade ideas with Hedge Fund Managers and experienced Day Traders. Get Real Money Pro now.

*Dan Le Batard calls out the 'stupidity' of Kansas City Chiefs, Deadspin controversy*

Another culture war is brewing, and it circles around the most popular sport in the U.S. A 5-year-old Kansas City Chiefs fan went viral after the team's victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday as he was dressed in native American gear with half his face painted in red and the other half painted in black. Popular sports site Deadspin published an article about the fan, calling out "doubling up" of racism, pointing out both the Native American headgear and Black face. However, folks on the right called out the article saying the face paint signified the team colors of the Chiefs and not Black face. They also pointed out that the child should not receive ridicule. Many have called for the family of the kid to sue Deadspin for the story. Even X, formerly Twitter, owner Elon Musk chimed in. The community notes of the Deadspin tweet highlighted that the article was "misleading," and Musk tweeted that it was another "win exposing deception" for the platform's community notes.Related: Former player wants back in the NFL after trading card business goes bust Outspoken sports media personality Dan Le Batard reacted to the controversy on "The Dan Le Batard Show" on Nov. 28, calling out the "stupidity" of the arguments given that the racism was on display regardless of the Black face. "I can't help but laugh somehow at the idea of: They want them sued for one racism while the kid is still in full racist garb. The only part of him that's not intentionally kind of racist is the Black part," Le Batard said. "The stupidity of this is remarkable." Beyond the Native American outfit, Le Batard was also referring to the red face paint as a symbol of Native American's as Redskins, a disparaging term used to refer to Native Americans. In 2020, the NFL's Washington Commanders dropped "Redskins" as its team monicker after 87 years.Related: Dan Le Batard gets emotional about recent struggles Le Batard's colleague Pablo Torre also spoke about the culture war, alluding to how he feels everything is getting tiring. "Now it just feels everyone's just trying to trot out the hits," Torre said. "We're all just kind of exhausted by this." Show producer Mike Ryan Ruiz chimed in as well, talking about how the culture war has shifted gears from the left calling out the right to what is now the right adapting the same behavior. And the evolution is that there is a "real, punitive effect" felt by companies that the right is calling out. "When the culture wars felt more real and authentic ... it actually felt like there was genuine outrage. The right would get mad at the left for being so sensitive; They would call them "snowflakes." And now the right has taken that playbook and just tried to out-outrage in a weird way to prove the left's hypocrisy, but genuinely trying to damage companies such as Target and Bud Light," Ruiz said. "This is the same type of behavior they would openly lament a couple of years ago." Discuss trade ideas with Hedge Fund Managers and experienced Day Traders. Get Real Money Pro now.

*Remember that three-year cruise around the world? It's been canceled for a ridiculous reason*

Few cruises have been subject to both as much interest and controversy as Life at Sea. When Turkish cruise ship company Miray announced that it was launching a cruise route that would cross 140 countries during three years at sea, many were immediately intrigued — the $29,999 base package being offered to customers was significantly less than the $40,000 a year it would take to rent an apartment in a city like Los Angeles or New York.Related: Cruise Line Switches Ships After Curious Popularity of New Kind of 'Vacation' While many jumped to reserve a spot aboard the cruise without a second thought, the troubles began long before the anticipated sail date of Nov. 1, 2023. After one of the engineers working for Miray went public in declaring the MV Gemini ship the company planned to use for the journey "unseaworthy," customers who put down money to reserve a spot started demanding refunds and multiple founding members and the managing director of the cruise walked away from the project. Life at Sea Cruises was supposed to set sail in November 2023. Miray Cruises The world cruise was a great idea (here's what went wrong) While Miray had initially called the engineer's comments "defamatory," it ended up moving the sail date to Nov. 30 and temporarily avoided a burgeoning PR crisis by committing to finding another ship (reported to be a decommissioned 532-cabin AIDA cruise ship that Life at Sea had planned to rename MV Lara.) More Travel:A new travel term is taking over the internet (and reaching airlines and hotels)The 10 best airline stocks to buy nowAirlines see a new kind of traveler at the front of the plane But just days before the ship was supposed to sail from a port in Amsterdam, passengers who were supposed to board the ship reported being told that their cruise was canceled. Many had already arrived to the Netherlands or Turkey, which is where the trip was originally slated to start before another last-minute change. The cruise line ended up confirming that the journey was canceled on the same day that news broke of MV Lara's purchase by Greek company Celestyal Cruises — sale negotiations with Miray had fallen through but the cruise line had been holding off on announcing the news that it had failed to secure a ship prior to departure. The cruise that captivated the world is now looking more and more like a scam "There's a whole lot of people right now with nowhere to go, and some need their refund to even plan a place to go," one of the passengers who was supposed to be on the journey told CNN. "It's not good right now." The cruise ship company reportedly told passengers that it would refund what they had put down for the journey in monthly installments by February 2024 but many have been thrown into disarray after planning three years of their life around the cruise. Some are also questioning the lack of transparency and whether the refunds will come at all. Ohio resident Keri Whitman even sold her home in Cincinnati to put down a $32,000 deposit onboard while Kimberly Arizzi also sold a Chicago apartment and all her furniture to finance what was supposed to be her retirement cruise. "I've not wanted to tell anyone – I'm embarrassed, I'm ashamed that I fell for it," another passenger who gave the company more than $100,000 for a spot on the ship told CNN back in October. "I should have listened to my gut."
